1. About Vippit

Vippit is a cross-border delivery marketplace connecting customers with travelers carrying packages between the USA, Europe, Canada, Asia, Gambia, and Senegal. Vippit is a coordination platform only. We do not transport packages, handle payments, or take custody of goods at any point.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use Vippit. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for accurately describing package contents, weight, and declared value. Customers must ensure packages do not contain prohibited items. Customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, and related fees that may apply. Travelers may inspect packages at drop-off and may reject packages that are prohibited, unsafe, or inconsistent with the customer's declarations. Customers arrange payment directly with the traveler — Vippit is not involved in payment.

4. Traveler Responsibilities

Travelers are responsible for the packages they agree to carry. Travelers must accurately represent their travel plans and route. Travelers are independent users, not employees or agents of Vippit. Travelers choose whether to accept or reject booking requests. Travelers must complete required identity verification before publishing routes. Travelers must perform required handoff checks, including inspection and documentation where required by the app. Travelers must provide accurate delivery status updates. Travelers arrange payment directly with the customer — Vippit is not involved in payment.

Travelers may provide optional route information such as coverage, claims, or customs/duties notes. Any such information is provided by the traveler, not by Vippit. It is not Vippit insurance and does not create a guarantee from Vippit.

A "verified" or "approved" traveler status means identity information was verified through Vippit's verification process. It is not a background check and is not an endorsement, insurance policy, or guarantee of conduct or delivery.

5. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited on Vippit:

• Weapons and firearms
• Drugs and controlled substances
• Counterfeit goods
• Hazardous materials
• Live animals
• Perishable food items without proper packaging
• Items that violate customs laws of any country

6. Payments

Vippit does not process, hold, or guarantee any payments. All payment arrangements are made directly between customers and travelers. Vippit is not responsible for any payment disputes, non-payment, or fraud between users.

7. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel a booking while the app allows it, generally before the traveler has received the package. Once a package is marked as received by the traveler, cancellation is no longer available through the app. Travelers may cancel a route when the app allows it, such as when a route has no active bookings. Some cancellations may require reassignment of bookings or support review, including when packages are already in a traveler's custody. Vippit does not process or guarantee any refunds. Since payments are arranged directly between customers and travelers, any refund request must be resolved between the two parties. Vippit may assist in coordination but is not financially liable for any payment disputes or failed refunds.

8. Disputes and Reported Issues

Users may report booking or delivery issues through the app (for example, by selecting "Report an issue"). The app provides issue reporting, messaging, evidence submission, and review tools. Vippit may review reported issues and help coordinate communication between users, but Vippit does not transport packages, act as an insurer, guarantee delivery outcomes, or process refunds. Vippit does not enforce private payment obligations between customers and travelers. Any resolution recorded in the app is for coordination purposes only and does not create payment or delivery guarantees. Payment disputes remain between the customer and traveler.

9. User-Generated Content

You may submit reviews, photos, and verification materials on Vippit. You are responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to share it. You grant Vippit permission to store, display, and use this content as needed to operate the marketplace, including booking records, handoff documentation, traveler verification, and reviews. Vippit may remove content that violates these terms, applicable law, or platform safety requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vippit and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Vippit's total liability to any user for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid to Vippit in the 12 months preceding the claim. Vippit is not liable for: loss, damage, theft, or destruction of any package; failed or delayed deliveries; customs seizures or import restrictions; actions or omissions of travelers or customers; payment disputes between users; any loss of profit, revenue, or data. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability — in those cases liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Liability

Vippit is a marketplace platform only. We are not liable for lost, damaged, or stolen packages. We are not liable for failed deliveries, customs seizures, or delays. Users interact with each other at their own risk.

12. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion from Account → Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Deletion may be blocked while you have active bookings or deliveries in progress. Contact support@vippit.app for assistance.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Vippit after changes means you accept the updated terms.
